Tottenham have finally landed their man and signed Dutch striker Vincent Janssen, the club have announced.
The 22-year-old has been on the club’s radar all summer and the deal has now gone through after Spurs raised their offer on a number of occasions for the striker, who has now signed a four-year contract.
A statement on Spurs’ official website read: “We are delighted to announce the signing of Vincent Janssen from AZ Alkmaar, subject to international clearance.
“The striker has signed a contract with the club until 2020.”
The fee was reportedly £17million.
Janssen finished as the top scorer in the Eredivisie last season with 27 goals and has previously expressed a desire to move to north London, while voicing his frustration at AZ’s stance to refuse to negotiate earlier in the summer.
