Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Pau Lopez on a season-long loan from Espanyol.
Tottenham have been tracking a goalkeeper ever since Hugo Lloris was ruled out for four months with a hamstring injury and they have managed to achieve their goal on deadline day.
Lopez, who has been a target over the past couple of days, has joined the English club on a one-year deal and will wear the number 30 shirt this season.
The 21-year-old, who is a Spain Under-21 international, has risen through the ranks at Espanyol and has made 48 first-team appearances since making his full debut back in 2014.
Lopez is expected to take up the role as back-up keeper to Holland international Michel Vorm, who has been covering for the injured Lloris.
Tottenham have also confirmed one departure with Clinton N’Jie, who only arrived at White Hart Lane from Lyon last summer, joining Marseille on a season-long deal.
