Spurs remain firmly in the hunt to sign Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi but any deal is likely to be delayed until after Euro 2016.
The prolific frontman has been a long-standing target of boss Mauricio Pochettino as he looks for more firepower next season and alternatives to current first-choice striker Harry Kane.
The 22-year-old has attracted attention from West Ham, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Stoke City but it is thought Spurs are the favourites to secure his services, although the Belgium international will not make a decision on his future until after this summer’s European Championships in France.
Batshuayi scored 23 goals in all competitions for Marseille last season and he’s tipped to star for his country in the upcoming tournament, despite competition for a starting role from strikers Christian Benteke, Romelu Lukaku and Divock Origi.
Spurs, who are 7/1 with Titanbet to win the Premier League 2016-17 outright, hope to land him for around £25million but know a good showing in France could bump his price-tag up further.
