Tottenham’s transfer plans have been handed a boast after Barcelona confirmed they plan to let Sandro Ramirez leave this summer.
Spurs were linked with the 20-year-old in January as they looked for some cover for Harry Kane, only for Barca to turn their noses up at the chance to sell the academy graduate at the time.
However, having struggled to make an impact in his 20 appearances for the Spanish champions this season, the Catalan club are ready to put Sandro on the transfer market as he enters the final 12 months of his contract.
Barca technical director Roberto Fernandez says he has already been contacted regarding a deal for the Spanish forward, suggesting Tottenham will have to move quickly if they are still interested in Sandro.
“Sandro has already had offers to leave last summer,” Fernandez told Barca TV. “We weighed it up at that time, in the situation we had when we could not sign anyone, and he made an effort to stay. We appreciate that.
“There was a date, May 1, a limit to extend his contract for one year, but after what he did [agree to stay] we thought the fairest thing to do was to open the door.”
Everton, Crystal Palace and Swansea are amongst those clubs believed to be interested in Sandro, who is said to be valued at 8million euros by Barcelona.
