Hugo Lloris says he has every faith in Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino and is ready to pen a new deal at White Hart Lane.
The France international is again on the radar of Europe’s top clubs after another impressive season in the Spurs goal, and Pochettino is keen to get him tied down to a new improved deal as soon as possible.
There had been suggestions that Lloris could look to move on after a late-season collapse saw Tottenham surrender the Premier League title to Leicester City and slip to third in the table behind Arsenal.
However following talks with Daniel Levy, the 29-year-old has been given assurances that Spurs will spend big this summer and Pochettino is going nowhere.
“I have faith in Mauricio Pochettino and with Toni Jimenez, the goalkeeping coach,” said Lloris. “The club is in a very good dynamic, the young players are in the England team and we are building something strong.
“It is very positive. I don’t even think about leaving. For me, the adventure is on course.”
Spurs now hope to get the deal in place, with a view to Lloris putting pen to paper after the European Championships.
