Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is eyeing a move for FC Utrecht striker Sebastien Haller, but he faces competition to land him.
The 21-year-old has caught they eye this season with 21 goals in all competitions and that has alerted a number of clubs to his ability.
Ajax in his home country have been linked, as have German sides Bayer Leverkusen, Schalke and Borussia Monchengladbach, while in France, AS Monaco are keen and in Italy Inter Milan are reported to be interested.
The player himself is said to prefer a move to the Premier League and in the new year he was linked with Norwich, Sunderland and Aston Villa but a move to high-flying Tottenham would be far more preferable.
Utrecht are after £6.5m for the France youngster, who has represented France at every level up to and including under-21’s, and it is a fee Spurs are likely to be keen to shell out.
