Hull and Stoke look set to battle it out for the services of Ryan Mason after Tottenham placed a £10million price tag on his head.
Mason’s chances of regular first-team football at White Hart Lane next season took a knock after Spurs signed Victor Wanyama from Southampton for £11million.
A move away now looks to be on the cards and reports are rife that both Hull and Stoke will bid for the 25-year-old.
Hull are hoping the fact that former Tottenham stars Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore are already at the KC Stadium, could win the day for them.
However, the Tigers are more likely to be involved in a relegation scrap, and Stoke will feel they are in the box seat if it comes down to a two-way scrap for his services.
Potters boss Mark Hughes has put a new midfielder high on his wanted list and it would appear that Mason is one of his top targets.
