Southampton are weighing up a bid in the region of £15m for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after the winger’s struggles at Arsenal.
The 22-year-old has found the going tough at the Emirates Stadium following his £15million move from the Saints in 2011, a combination of injuries and big-name signings, such as Alexis Sanchez, restricting his game time for the Gunners.
The England winger has managed 33 appearances for the north Londoners this season but has more often than not failed to make an impact, finding the back of the net once in all competitions.
According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are open to letting Oxlade-Chamberlain leave come the end of the campaign with his current contract having just over two years left to run.
Southampton are believed to be very interested in re-signing him having seen a last-ditch loan bid rejected by Arsenal during the January transfer window.
The Saints will reportedly offer a similar sum to the one the Gunners paid for the winger when they signed him five years ago in the hope they might be persuaded to part with him.
