Southampton: Davis eager to see quick repsonse

The Saints suffered their first defeat of the season on Saturday and they dropped down to 13th in the Premier League table.

Mauricio Pellegrino’s men were comfortably beaten and some sections of the crowd showed their dismay at the performance.

Davis insists his team will not dwell on the display and he is confident his team will respond against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

He told the Daily Echo: “After the games it’s always difficult because you’re frustrated and it’s difficult to find the right words because there’s more frustration now than after sitting back and reflecting and assessing the game properly.

“We all know, without looking at videos and analysing the game, we should have done a lot better. We are a lot better than what we’ve shown today. It’s important we recover from this here and go and show our true qualities at Palace.”
