West Ham captain Mark Noble is already looking ahead to the opening of the new Olympic Park Stadium and the game with Juventus.
The Italian champions have been confirmed as the first team to grace the turf at the Hammers’ new home when they visit on Sunday, August 7, and Noble is already looking forward to the event.
“It’s amazing,” Noble told told West Ham TV. “To have the Old Lady, as you call them, here will be special. I know the place will be sold out no doubt as it will be the first game here, and I can’t wait!
“We couldn’t ask for a bigger club. They have won their league for the last three or four years.
“I’m looking forward to getting away on holiday, having a good pre-season knowing you’re coming back here to play Juventus.”
Meanwhile, the club are building up to an emotional goodbye to the Boleyn Ground, with just two more top-flight games to come, against Swansea before the final match at the stadium against Manchester United on Tuesday, May 10.
