Crystal Palace skipper Scott Dann is backing Wilfried Zaha to produce his best form now that the transfer window is closed.
The winger was the subject of a failed bid from Tottenham before the closure of the transfer window two weeks ago, and it is thought Zaha was disappointed the offer was not accepted.
That has kicked off suggestions that his mind may no longer be with the Eagles, something that boss Alan Pardew dismissed after Zaha shone in the 2-1 win over Middlesbrough.
Zaha showed against Boro that he is committed to the Palace cause, and skipper Dann also has no doubt where his loyalties and priorites are.
“Everyone knows how good a player he is,” the centre-back told the Advertiser. “There was a little bit of interest in him and that happens in the transfer window. It’s never ideal when it’s open and the season had started, but he never did anything different.
“Wilf has carried on working hard, he came on in the last game against Bournemouth and changed the game, then at Middlesbrough he popped up with an important assist and a goal.
“We know what he’s capable of and he’s still got a lot to improve on. He can still be better but hopefully now everything has settled he can go on and show what he can do.”
