Midfielder Mousa Dembele believes Moussa Sissoko will prove to be an astute signing for Tottenham.
Spurs landed France international Sissoko in a £30million deal from Newcastle late on transfer deadline day on Wednesday as boss Mauricio Pochettino strengthened his midfield options further.
Sissoko’s arrival could threaten Dembele’s place in the starting line-up but the Belgium international is pleased Sissoko is on board.
“I am very happy. I think he is a very good player. He is going to be great for our team,” Dembele told Sky Sports News.
Dembele, who has yet to play for Spurs this season as he serves a suspension carried over from the end of last term, is currently on international duty with Belgium and came on as a second-half substitute in their 2-0 defeat to Spain on Thursday.
