Mario Balotelli has been linked with a shock switch from Liverpool to Manchester United.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the striker’s agent Mino Raiola has offered the Italian to the Old Trafford club as he bids to end Balotelli’s nightmare spell at Liverpool.
It has been claimed that Raiola, who brokered the record-breaking arrival of Paul Pogba at Manchester United this summer, is hoping to convince Jose Mourinho to reunite with the striker he managed at Inter Milan.
It is also suggested that Zlatan Ibrahimovic would act as the perfect mentor for Balotelli, whose attitude has often been questioned throughout his career.
A long list of Italian clubs have been linked with Balotelli while he has also reportedly been offered to French club Nantes.
But Raiola is hoping to pull off one of the more audacious moves of the summer by getting the former Manchester City striker in at Old Trafford before the close of the window.
The 26-year-old has scored just one Premier League goal for Liverpool since his arrival in 2014 and managed the same tally during his season-long loan at AC Milan last term.
