Serie A transfer report: Sunderland face competition for Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj as Lazio consider swoop
Januzaj burst onto the scene in the 2013/14 season and ended the campaign having scored four goals in 27 Premier League outings.
But his involvement has dwindled ever since and he was sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund last season with his chances in the first team more limited than ever. His time with the Bundesliga giants was cut short after half a season and just 12 appearances.
Now, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Lazio are keeping tabs on the situation and could make their move once Antonio Candreva leaves the club.
Lazio will be in the market for new options on the flanks and believe Januzaj could fit the bill.
Everton and David Moyes’ Sunderland have both been linked with moves for the young Belgian but both Premier League clubs could now face stiff competition for his signature from Italy.
