Inter and Napoli are currently leading the race for Chelsea’s Diego Costa but clubs will reportedly have to pay at least £45m for him.
The 27-year-old striker is believed to be keen to leave Stamford Bridge and was heavily linked with a return to Atletico Madrid earlier in the summer only for the La Liga giants to confirm recently that they were not pursuing a deal.
Chelsea have already signed Michy Batshuayi in a big-money move from Marseille and they are also hoping to land Romelu Lukaku from Everton, meaning Costa would be surplus to requirements.
The Spain international’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is reportedly working hard behind the scenes to secure a move for his client and has been in touch with Inter and Napoli to gauge interest.
They have apparently been informed Costa is available – but only for at least £45m – and that figure may be deemed to high as things stand.
However, several other clubs across Europe are keeping tabs on Costa and he should depart somewhere this summer, provided Lukaku makes his return to Stamford Bridge.
