Winger Chay Scrivens has returned to West Brom following a loan spell at Torquay and is now set for a loan move elsewhere.
The 19-year-old joined Torquay on a six-month loan deal in August but it has been cut short as he was struggling to force his way into the first-team set up on the south coast.
He has been sent back to the Baggies and Albion will now hope to find a new club for the youngster to join where he can secure regular first-team action.
“Chay is a good young player but I didn’t feel like we were giving him enough minutes here. It’s not fair on him and it certainly isn’t fair on West Brom as they’ve lent him here and he’s not getting the minutes that he needed to improve,” Torquay player-manager Kevin Nicholson said.
“I think he’s got a future; he’s a bright little player, but it just didn’t quite work out for him here.”
Scrivens has yet to play for Albion’s senior side but could now feature for the Under-23s again before sorting out a new loan move elsewhere.
