Fulham captain Scott Parker has signed a new one-year contract with the club.
Parker was set to be out of contract in the summer but the 35-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper on fresh terms to keep him at Craven Cottage until 2017.
In a letter to the club’s fans, Parker wrote: “I’m delighted to have signed an extension with the club. We are all confident that we can make next season a better one, so I do hope you’ll join me and the boys again at Craven Cottage for 2016-17.”
Former Charlton youngster Parker joined Fulham from Tottenham three years ago. He has also represented London clubs West Ham and Chelsea, as well as playing for Newcastle.
He made 24 appearance for Fulham during the 2015-16 season, scoring one goal, as the Cottagers finished 20th in the Sky Bet Championship.
