Bordeaux defender Lamine Sane appears to be edging closer to moving to Hull City after missing training on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old was a notable absentee from training, despite showing up briefly at the training ground earlier in the day, fuelling rumours a move to the newly-promoted Tigers is edging closer.
The Senegal international caught the eye of the Tigers with his performances last term for Bordeaux, who finished in 11th place in Ligue 1, and deal is in the pipeline.
Negotiations between Hull and Bordeaux are believed to be ongoing but it’s thought the clubs are not far away from agreeing terms before Sane’s switch across the Channel this summer.
The capture of Sane will be a big coup for Tigers boss Steve Bruce, who hopes the signing will kick-start a flurry of transfer activity before the new season gets underway.
