Southampton have presented Ronald Koeman with their five-year plan in a bid to secure the manager’s long-term commitment to the club.
Koeman is more than half-way through the three-year deal he signed when he replaced Mauricio Pochettino at the helm in 2014 and Saints want him to remain for many years to come.
Koeman led the Saints to their highest-ever Premier League finish of seventh in his debut season and is on course to potentially even better that by leading them into Europe once more.
Southampton are currently seventh in the Premier League but only four points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.
Koeman has been linked with the Dutch head coach’s role and a number of supposed bigger club jobs but is understood to be happy to commit himself to St Mary’s if the club can assure him of the ambition of their project.
