Southampton striker Sam Gallagher says he is enjoying his time on loan at Blackburn and hopes to add to his goal tally.
Gallagher spent the latter half of last season on loan at MK Dons and will see out the current campaign with Championship side Blackburn.
Rovers are yet to record a league win this term but Gallagher, 20, has impressed with two goals in five outings so far, including a strike in his temporary side’s 1-1 draw with QPR at the weekend.
The forward, who has managed 18 appearances and one goal for Saints, hopes to make the most of his loan spell and is keen to continue improving over the course of the season.
“It’s all about momentum. Having made a good start has made a big difference,” he told the Lancashire Telegraph.
“When I got my first goal it took a bit of weight off my shoulders. From there I felt like I could kick on and, after scoring on Saturday, I want to do the same now.”
