Southampton have been linked with West Brom forward Saido Berahino as they seek to boost their attacking options.
Berahino is expected to depart the Hawthorns this summer after seeing a move to Spurs blocked by Albion last year.
It is thought Spurs have all but ended their interest in the attacker after missing out last year, but a host of clubs including Stoke, Crystal Palace and Watford all said to be keen.
Saints are in need of attacking reinforcements following Sadio Mane’s £34million move to Liverpool, despite the recent acquisition of Nathan Redmond, and the Express & Star say they have now set their sights on 22-year-old Berahino.
Berahino is due to fall out of contract next summer but Albion have no intention of allowing him to leave on the cheap, with reports indicating a fee in the region of £16million-£20million would be required to convince West Brom to sell.
