Southampton have been linked with a move for Brighton winger Solly March but reports suggest they face competition from West Ham.
March managed just 17 appearances and three goals for the Seagulls last season as his campaign was impacted by injury, but the 22-year-old has seemingly done enough to attract interest from the Premier League.
Southampton are now believed to be considering a move for the Brighton star but they will face competition from West Ham, while Brighton remain keen to keep hold.
March is under contract until 2018 but it is understood the Championship side intend to offer March an improved deal in a bid to ward off interest from elsewhere.
However, if March rejects their offer Brighton may well be open to a sale rather than retain the player and allow his value to dip as his current contract draws to a close.
