Stoke face a battle to sign Norwich winger Nathan Redmond after reports claimed Southampton are leading the race for his signature.
Redmond is ready to depart Carrow Road this summer following the Canaries’ relegation and it is understood that he has an £8million release clause in his deal.
Stoke boss Mark Hughes is keen to sign a new winger and early reports suggested he was in the box seat to do a deal after agreeing to match the £8million.
However, Southampton, who are on offer at 18/1 with Titanbet to be relegated next season, are also in the hunt for reinforcements in attack amid speculation over the futures of both Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle, and Redmond has now emerged as a target.
West Brom, Swansea and West Ham have also been linked with the 22-year-old winger in recent weeks, but reports claim a move to St Mary’s looks the likeliest option at this stage, even though their manager, Ronald Koeman, is set to leave with a move to Everton likely to be confirmed this week.
