Crystal Palace are reportedly weighing up a £4million bid for Fenerbahce striker Robin van Perise.
Palace have been looking to reinforce their striking options over the summer and they failed in their attempts to sign Michy Batshuayi, who joined Chelsea on Sunday, while a bid was recently lodged for Liverpool’s Christian Benteke.
However, the Reds are wanting closer to £32m for the Belgium international – around seven million more than initially offered – and the Eagles may decide to look elsewhere.
Van Persie has reportedly emerged as a top transfer target and he would be available at a considerably lower price, with Fenerbahce happy to accept bids of £4m.
The Holland international joined the Turkish outfit from Manchester United last summer and managed to score 16 goals from 31 league appearances.
It is unclear whether the 32-year-old would be interested in a move to Selhurst Park but it appears his short stint with the Yellow Canaries will be coming to an abrupt end.
