Rotherham defender Kirk Broadfoot has signed a two-year contract extension with the Championship club.

Former Scotland defender Broadfoot joined Rotherham following his release by Blackpool in 2014, but his contract was set to expire at the end of June.

The 31-year-old has made 60 appearances in all competitions for the Millers.

“Every season you look forward to it with some hope and hopefully the manager can push us up the league,” he told the club website.

Rotherham finished 21st in the Championship last season, nine points clear of the relegation zone.
