Arsenal have been linked with a summer swoop for 19-year-old Roma forward Umar Sadiq.
The young forward has managed six Serie A appearances and two goals for the Italian outfit this season, and he has been in prolific form at youth level.
Rome-based publication La Repubblica claim Arsenal are keen on the Nigerian and have already tabled a bid in the region of £10million.
However, Roma are holding out for a fee in the region of £11.8million if reports are to be believed, and the transfer could be complicated further due to the fact Sadiq is currently owned by Spezia.
Roma have an option to buy outright for 2.5million euros at the end of the season and if they were to sell to Arsenal they would make a quick profit on the highly-rated young forward, although it is thought the Serie A outfit would prefer to keep hold of Sadiq.
