Marouane Fellaini has been linked with a move to Italian side AS Roma this summer if he is offloaded by Manchester United.
The 28-year-old Belgium international midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford at the end of the season, having previously been targeted by AC Milan in January when a deal failed to come to fruition.
Fellaini has forced his way back into United boss Louis van Gaal’s plans in recent weeks and scored the opening goal in Saturday’s 2-1 FA Cup semi-final win against his former club Everton.
However he is still expected to be offloaded in the summer with United keen to pick up around half of the £27million fee they paid Everton for his signature in summer 2013.
And the sight of Fellaini at Monday’s Serie A clash between Roma and Napoli has heightened the speculation that the Italian capital could be his next destination.
It’s thought Fellaini went to watch his compatriot Radja Nainggolan in action and ironically he would be signed to replace the 27-year-old Roma man, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea.
