Marouane Fellaini’s agent has admitted a move to Roma is a possibility as speculation over a summer switch from Man Utd gathers pace.
The 28-year-old has found it tough to nail down a regular starting berth in the Red Devils team since his move from Everton in 2013 and reports indicate he is willing to bring his time at Old Trafford to an end this summer.
Fellaini was this week spotted watching Roma’s win over Napoli in Serie A, leading to speculation that he could be on his way to the Italian capital.
His agent, Luciano DÂ’Onofrio, has now confirmed that his client would be interested in joining Roma but claims to have had no contact regarding a move away from Manchester.
“He was probably there on holiday,” D’Onofrio told Tuttomercatoweb. “For the moment, I have no other news. So far I’ve had no contact with Roma for him.”
“Would that move be welcomed? Yes, Roma is a possibility to consider.”
Fellaini would appear to be keen on a move to Italy having previously been linked with a AC Milan but a deal between the two parties failed to materialise during the last January transfer window.
