Crystal Palace are reported to be closing in on a move for Wales international Hal Robson-Kanu after his move to Hull collapsed.
Robson-Kanu is a free agent after leaving Reading in the summer and Eagles boss Alan Pardew is ready to beat off competition from a host of clubs to wrap up a deal.
The forward looked set to join the Tigers a few weeks ago but a deal collapsed after Steve Bruce left the KCOM Stadium, forcing the player to look elsewhere.
Swansea and Celtic have also been heavily linked with a move for Robson-Kanu but reports are rife that Palace have won the race and expect to complete a deal in the coming days.
The news comes as another blow to the Tigers, who are in desperate need of some strength in depth heading into the season that gets underway this weekend.
