West Brom are being heavily linked with a summer swoop to sign Bristol City defender Aden Flint.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis has a myriad of defenders to pick from at the Hawthorns this season, although the likes of Gareth McAuley and Jonas Olsson are well into their thirties now and some fresh blood at the back will be required in the not too distant future.
And it seems the Welsh tactician has been impressed with the form of 26-year-old Flint in a side which has been battling it out in the lower reaches of the Championship this season.
Pulis watched the player at first hand in Albion’s two FA Cup battles against City this season and it seems he could offer him a chance to play at the highest level.
The fact the centre-half also knows where the opposition’s goal is having scored an impressive 22 goals in 114 appearances for the Robins, will also be an added bonus if Pulis can entice the Ashton Gate outfit to sell for around £2million.
