Arsenal face a battle to land Borussia Dortmund forward Henrikh Mkhitaryan after Chelsea entered the race for his signature.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with the player, and after reports claimed he was house hunting in London, it looked as though a switch to the Emirates Stadium was on the cards.
However, Arsene Wenger now faces strong competition for the player’s services as Chelsea are back in the hunt.
Chelsea are believed to have failed with a bid of over £45million for the player last summer when Jose Mourinho was in charge, but now it is claimed new Blues boss Antonio Conte also wants him.
The valuation of the 27-year-old is bound to have soared in 12 months after he fired home 11 goals and provided a further 18 assists in 29 games for Dortmund this season, but Chelsea could still match it.
The German press have claimed that Chelsea will make another move to sign the Armenia international in the close season, so the Gunners will have to move quickly to secure a deal.
