Swansea look set to miss out on the signing of Hal Robson-Kanu as reports claim Hull City are closing in on a deal.
The Swans have been heavily linked with a move for the Wales international ever since it became clear he would be leaving Reading on a free transfer.
However, his stock has since risen considerably thanks to two goals on Wales’ run to the Euro 2016 semi-finals in France, including a goal-of-the-tournament contender against Belgium.
And it is understood Hull have offered Robson-Kanu assurances about first-team football and a guarantee he will be picked in his preferred position of striker.
Two other Premier League clubs, one of them believed to be the Swans, have shown an interest in the 27-year-old but neither has yet made a firm offer.
If Swansea are keen they will have to move quickly as reports claim Hull could wrap up a deal this week.
