Revealed: Chelsea and Manchester City’s grand plan to sign Paul Pogba

Premier League clubs received £50m each in TV money last season.

However, in Spain, Barca and Madrid earn a larger proportion of the cash than other La Liga clubs – although that is set to change this year.

When the latest deal kicks in next season, the Premier League’s bottom club will earn £99m, with the champions taking in excess of £150m in television money.

City were reluctant to get involved in a Pogba deal last summer– one of the reasons being a complicated situation involving third-party image rights.

But £80m-rated Pogba has hinted he would love to play for incoming City boss Pep Guardiola, describing him as a “football icon.”
