Crystal Palace are closing in on a deal for Chelsea striker Loic Remy that will see the Frenchman arrive on a season-long loan.
The Eagles have just splashed out £27million to sign Christian Benteke, but boss Alan Pardew wants another striker on board and is ready to swoop for Remy.
Pardew knows Remy well from their time together at Newcastle United and a reunion at Selhurst Park looks to be on the cards with a deal set to go through before the transfer deadline.
It has also been suggested that the two clubs have agreed a fee of £10.3million to make the deal permanent at the end of the season if all goes according to plan.
Remy is desperate to play first-team football on a regular basis and he should get a chance to do that with Palace, who struggled to find the back of the net last season and are in desperate need of more firepower.
The Frenchman had been linked with a move to Everton as part of a swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku, but with that deal a non-starter, Palace have nipped in.
