Crystal Palace are reported to be closing in on a season-long loan deal for Chelsea striker Loic Remy.
The Eagles have long been linked with a move for the French striker and look set to step up their attempts to strike a deal before Wednesday night’s transfer deadline.
Remy will be allowed to leave Chelsea, who could in turn draft in another striker before the window closes, and there is no shortage of interest, with West Ham also said to be keen.
However the Hammers are reported to have turned their attention to Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony, and that could leave the door open for Palace to swoop for Remy.
Remy is keen to play regular first-team football and stay in the London area, while the chance to work with Palace boss Alan Pardew again also appeals.
