Manchester United continue to be linked with a move for Barcelona defender Marc Barta, who has slipped down the pecking order.
United are keen to draft in a new central defender in the summer and reports have suggested a £9.5million will be made when the transfer window re-opens.
Barca still rate the 26-year-old highly but he has struggled to become a regular in the first-team, and the player’s agent Javier Diaz has suggested they will have to consider his options at the end of the season.
“I do not know what happens with Bartra but I know Marc is a very ambitious person and in a situation you should not like,” he said.
“That is very clear. As a footballer, I think the best thing to do is try to turn the tables. If it continues, it is normal to leave. Marc is playing less than last year.
“When you’re playing more and more, you can see the light. But if the first year you play 18 games, the second 25, third 28 and fourth 15 is normal things happen to you in the head.”
