Enrique joined the Reds from Newcastle for a fee of £5million in 2011 but fell out of favour under former manager Brendan Rodgers.

The Spaniard has also struggled to impose himself on the squad under new boss Jurgen Klopp having made just three appearances this campaign.

The 30-year-old was expected to be released at the end of the season when his deal expires but has been let go early to allow him to find a new club.

The defender leaves Anfield having made a total of 98 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice during that time.
