Liverpool defender Joel Matip claims the Reds are aiming to strike fear into the hearts of every team they face.
After destroying Hull City at the weekend to move into fourth in the table and, netting another five goals along the way, the Reds are starting to make a noticeable splash.
Their goal-scoring record is excellent and they have plundered 24 goals in eight games in all competitions this term – their highest tally at this stage since 1895.
Matip, when asked about their goals for the season, claims there is till more to come.
“To play as a team and to have a great spirit together,” he said.
“Also to be compact and use the skills of my team-mates and myself and to press teams so that no opponent is safe with the ball. That they always have to be afraid that we are coming!
“Beyond that it is too early to make predictions. We will see what the season brings because there is a long time between now and May.
“We have to continue to play this way and make the most of all our fixtures at Anfield. Our aim is to keep improving week by week.”
