Liverpool will not be making a £10m move for Manchester City midfielder Fernando, Anfield sources have told SiaS.
The Kop outfit were last week strongly linked to the Brazilian, just days after SiaS revealed his former club Porto were keen on taking him back to the Estadio do Dragao.
But the Merseysiders have quickly been in contact to let the 28-year-old’s camp know there are no such plans to launch a bid.
Fernando is expected to be shown the Etihad exit this summer, with incoming boss Pep Guardiola looking to recruit up to three new players for the City engine room.
It’s understood Porto remain confident they will be able to land him for a fraction of the £12m fee they received from City back in 2014.
