Manchester United are showing interest in Mexican attacking midfielder Hirving Lozano, according to his club president at Pachuca.
United’s chief scout has been to Mexico to watch the 20-year-old star and has also been impressed by two of his young team-mates – 20-year-old Erick Gutierrez and Rodolfo Pizarro, 22.
Pachuca president Jesus Martinez claims “Chucky” Lozano, who scored his first international goal against Canada in a World Cup qualifier last week, is the one who is interesting United the most.
“[The chief scout] has been coming here to do special reports on our players, but especially Chucky,” he told Fox Sports.
“We would love it if he had to go that it would be to a team like Manchester United or Porto.”
Pachuca want to extend the contracts of their young players and resisted a rumoured offer of 7m dollars from PSV Eindhoven for Lozano last summer.
