Stoke are reported to have joined the hunt to sign Manchester United winger Memphis Depay when the transfer window opens.
The Dutchman has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford after signing for the Reds last summer, and reports are rife he will be on the move during the close season.
Liverpool and West Ham have already been heavily linked with a move, but now Stoke are said to have joined the hunt after Ibrahim Afellay picked up a serious knee injury.
Potters boss Mark Hughes has already admitted he may have to look to the transfer market to sign a replacement, so it comes as no surprise to see Depay’s name mentioned.
Reports suggest Manchester United have not given up hope on Depay, but could be open to a season-long loan deal at the Britannia Stadium, something which would also suit the Potters.
