Manchester United could be without defender Daley Blind for Sunday’s visit of Everton after he picked up an injury on Netherlands duty.
The 26-year-old has been moved from a midfield role into a central defensive berth alongside Chris Smalling by United boss Louis van Gaal this season, and the partnership has proved to be effective of late to help push the team back into the mix for a top-four finish.
However, it now looks like Blind will be struggling to play in the Old Trafford showdown against Roberto Martinez’s Toffees after he limped out of training with what has been described as a muscle injury.
Blind is already ruled out of his country’s international friendly against England at Wembley on Tuesday, with Van Gaal now hoping he can get himself fit in time for the return of the Premier League this weekend.
If he does join the lengthy injury list at United then Marcos Rojo will almost certainly move from left-back to partner Smalling in the centre of defence against Everton.
United are 21/20 with Titanbet to beat the Blues on Sunday.
