Arsenal are reported to be weighing up a move for Real Madrid youngster Marcos Llorente when the transfer window opens.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has had success in the past when luring Hector Bellerin and Cesc Fabregas away from Barcelona and is ready to attempt the same with Llorente.
The young midfielder is currently enjoy a loan spell with La Liga outfit Alaves, and Wenger is reported to be monitoring his performances closely with a view to making a move.
Real Madrid have high hopes for the 21-year-old and are likely to knock back all offers, but that will not stop Wenger from chancing his arm with a bid.
Llorente is due to spend the season on loan with Alaves, so any potential move will be on hold until then, unless there is an option to cut the loan deal short.
