Real Madrid have been linked with a move for West Ham star Dimitri Payet following his performances for France at Euro 2016.
The Hammers player has arguably been the standout player in France this summer having managed two goals and one assist in two games to date.
Such performances on the international stage are always likely to generate interest from Europe’s top sides and The Telegraph has claimed that Los Blancos are weighing up a move for the 29-year-old this summer.
West Ham are keen to keep hold of Payet and have previously stressed that they have no intention of selling their star man, having handed the frontman an improved £125,000-a-week deal in February.
However, a bid from Real could be hard to turn down if the Spanish giants firm up their interest with a concrete offer and West Ham could struggle to retain Payet if it becomes clear he wants to move to the Bernabeu after his Euro 2016 campaign has come to an end.
