UEFA Champions League finalists Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid have announced their media plans ahead of the UEFA Champions League final at Milan’s Stadio San Siro on 28 May – including details of their activities in Italy the day before the game (all times CET).
Atlético will hold their media open day on Saturday 21 May at their training ground, Ciudad Deportiva Wanda Atlético de Madrid, in Majadahonda. A Diego Simeone press conference will take place at 09.30, with an open training session scheduled for between 10.15 and 11.30. After this, from 11.45, will be mini press conferences with players. Some will simultaneously be available for one-to-one interviews with UEFA broadcasters. The facility will close at 16.00. Applications for accreditation should be sent to email@example.com before 15.00 on Wednesday 18 May.
Real Madrid will welcome the media to their Ciudad Real Madrid training ground in Valdebebas on Tuesday 24 May. Media will be able to access the site from 09.30, with coach Zinédine Zidane to hold a press conference at 10.15. There will be an open training session at 11.00 and player interview opportunities from 12.45. Media without a permanent Ciudad Real Madrid accreditation should register by sending their details to firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline is 12.00 on Friday 20 May. International media interested in an afternoon tour of the training centre should indicate as much at the time of their registration.
The two teams have also announced their media activities at the Stadio San Siro on Friday 27 May, for accredited media only.
