Marcus Rashford hopes he’s given Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho a headache ahead of Saturday’s derby after his hat-trick for England U21s.
The 18-year-old enjoyed a dream debut for the England youngsters on Tuesday when he hit a treble in the 6-1 Euro 2017 qualification win over Norway.
His performance must have caught the eye of Mourinho as he ponders his options for the eagerly-awaited derby against Man City on Saturday, and Rashford says he hopes he’s given the Portuguese coach a “decision” to make.
United boss Mourinho has preferred to start summer signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic ahead of Rashford in the three Premier League games so far this season but the teenager is now knocking on the door.
Following his goals for the England Under-21s, Rashford told BT Sport: “You want to make the manager make decisions about whether he wants you to play or be in the squad.
“Everyone is just looking forward to it so it should be a good game.”
