Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri is adamant that West Brom target Jeff Schlupp will not be leaving the club this summer.
The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Hawthorns in recent weeks and was left out of the squad for Leicester’s opening-day defeat to Hull City amid speculation he was on verge of signing for the Baggies.
West Brom are thought to have lodged a fourth bid worth £12million for the wideman – who started 14 league games last season – which the Foxes were giving serious consideration to, before Ranieri decided he wants to retain Schlupp’s services.
On the player’s future, the Italian said: “He stays with us, he is very happy. It is always good news. I am happy when I have this position, a lot of players. It is important to have a lot of quality players to choose from.”
