Manchester United saw Portuguese star Rafa Silva put in a man-of-the-match display in Braga’s 3-1 win over Porto on Sunday.
Scouts from United, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Monaco were at The Quarry for the clash between the clubs in fourth and third place in the Primeira Liga.
Porto tried to sign Rafa for £12million in January and the player has admitted to receiving lucrative offers from abroad with some reports suggesting rumoured United manager-in-waiting Jose Mourinho has earmarked the 22-year-old to be one of his first signings.
United, according to the published scout lists from Portugal, have watched the attacking midfielder more than 10 times this season.
They cannot fail to have been impressed with Rafa’s contributions as Braga have maintained their challenge for a European spot while reaching the last 16 of the Europa League.
