Radamel Falcao set for Monaco return after nightmare Premier League spell – ‘They want me for next season’
Radamel Falcao has confirmed he will end his nightmare spell in the Premier League and return to his parent club Monaco this summer.
The striker spent last season on loan at Manchester United, but failed to make an impression at Old Trafford and injury has cut short the Colombian’s spell in west London too.
The 30-year-old has spent the majority of the campaign on the sidelines with a groin strain and will depart Chelsea having made just 13 appearances for the club.
Monaco were hoping Falcao would be a success in the Premier League so they could get him off their wage bill – but it now appears he will be back in Ligue 1 next season.
“I think I will return to Monaco this summer to stay there,” Falcao told TyC Sport.
“The club want me for next season and I still have two years left on my contract.”
