Crystal Palace hope to have Jason Puncheon back in a couple of weeks as he steps up his recovery from a hamstring injury.
Puncheon underwent further scans on the injury this week but Palace can take plenty of heart from the fact he is doing light training and should not be too far away from a return.
The eagles are unable to set a return date, but it has been suggested the FA Cup quarter-final clash against Reading in two weeks time has been pencilled in.
“Punch is still with the medical team,” assistant boss Keith Millen told the Advertiser. “I don’t know the full details of the scan he had, but he obviously did some damage to it. It is improving and I am thinking maybe another couple of weeks out.
“He’s out on the pitch now doing sessions with the medical team, so he’s certainly on his way to full recovery.”
